Take a number please!!!!

I see lots of women plugging into the "Natural Hair" Journey!!! And it seems to be the talk of the town lately....We all have our reason why we decided to stop "Relaxing" our hair so why is it such a big issue??? I found that "Some" naturals get offended and even go so fair to Rant about how they are being treated about their hair!!! My take on that is ...People are going to talk about you no matter what so give them a number and tell them to stand in line and wait for their turn...lol!!!

So ladies next time somebody gives you the side eye about your hair...You stand straight...hold your head High and give them some serious FACE !!!! Confidence is the key!!! Don't let no one tell you your not Fly with your Natural!!! Tell them Ms.StClair said "They gonna have to take a number please and have a seat with the other ones!!!

my thoughts!!!!!!!

For years and years white people seen our hair relaxed and straightened...I think they are kind of confused on the fact that our hair indeed is really totally different from what they are used to!!! I see people a mile away just blown away and very fascinated by my thick natural full hair :) I use to give them along with bunches of black folk also the side eye back but as the months went on into my natural hair journey I learned to hold my head up and give them the biggest most confident smile I could mustard out of my entire being :) In all no we shouldn't be petted like we are some sort of animal...But indeed embrace it like nobody's business !!!!

My journey thus far....and what I've learned about my Hair...Other people...and Myself!!!!

It's been a wild wild ride on this thing called "Natural Hair Journey"...I've learned so much about my hair...Other people and most Important Myself!!!

I learned that Hair is Hair and as long as you care for it properly it will grow...I don't fuss over it like I use to at the beginning of my journey it's not that big of a deal to me*Shrugs Shoulders* As long as my hair is cute I'm good :)

What I learned about other people is they come and go just like seasons...and some would dislike you just because and that's okay!!! I'm a firm believer in "God" and as long as I please him who cares if others don't like me!!!! People are going to like you and dislike you and there's simply nothing you can do about it!!!

And last but certainly not least .."Myself" I've learned soooo much about myself during this journey!!! I learned that no matter what my hair looks like...no matter what my wallet looks like and no matter what I look like I am here for a purpose and not on accident!!! I am a beautiful women and that's something I shouldn't be ashamed of...or play myself down to be sure not to draw attention to me!!! I'm gods child that I am and that's something that I'm Never gonna forget!!!!

Being Patient with your Natural Hair....

I remember when I first bc'ed!! Endlessly searching the web trying to figure out why my hair was so darn dry and thirsty!! 7/10/10 was the day my whole life changed :) I closed myself in the bathroom and cut off all 12 inches of relaxed lifeless hair!!! I cried...I laughed...then I was calm and at peace all within a few hours!!! I felt like a ton of bricks was lifted off my shoulders!!! Now I'm almost 5 months Natural and yes the dryness has subsided all with time and Patients!!!

We must remember that Chemically Relaxing our hair endures much damage and sometimes something like a bc isn't enough to rid the scalp and new growth of the damage that relaxers causes!! So being Patient is a must when your dealing with Natural hair!! Accepting how your hair grows is also a must!! Till next time Happy Growing with Ya Girl Quisha :)
